Ministry Update

2025

This year, we’ve seen God move among us in extraordinary ways.

As a church family, our vision remains clear: to grow God’s family through pursuing Christ, training leaders, and planting churches to renew society.

We want to pause, to say thank you, and to celebrate what God has done through us together.

Growing God’s Family

Alpha

We have continued to grow God’s family through Alpha, where we’ve reached over 420 people in the past year.

We hosted 5 Alpha courses including the new Alpha Youth Series, and we even ran a Student Alpha in collaboration with UCT Student Y.

And doors have opened in Pollsmoor Prison where we will be helping to run Alpha courses across all sections in the near future!

Among our pre-teens and teens, we’ve seen incredible growth. Amplify started the year with just 10 kids and now welcomes around 45 each week!

Ambies is thriving too, with 35 – 45 teens every Friday. And our Youth Nights in the June/July holidays drew up to 100 teens for worship, fun, and connection.

CCKids & Youth

Over the last year, Kingdom Gen has been a vibrant space for children and families:

  • Our Light Party drew nearly a thousand people through the doors.

  • Roadtrip to Christmas brought over 250 people into the story of Jesus’ birth.

  • Journey to the Cross guided around 500 people through a powerful Easter experience.

  • And at Holiday Club, 150 kids came each day, led by 45 passionate leaders.

Services

We’ve seen 28 baptisms or reaffirmations of baptismal vows over the last year, a perfect example of the work God has been doing in the lives of those joining the family.

At our 6PM Sunday gatherings, we have also been excited to welcome new faces and have seen steady, positive growth.

We have also seen an increase of 11% in our giving, of which we are so grateful.

Pursuing Christ

We’re investing in marriages and families, running two Pre-Marriage Courses with 36 attendees, and one Marriage Course with 30 participants.

Our Creche Cottage was renovated, and we launched a fresh rebrand and website for our church that aligns with our vision and will be timeless for years to come.

As a church, we’ve continued pursuing Christ together. Serving teams have grown, with many stepping forward after Everyone Serving Sunday.

Our Small Groups are also thriving, with over 20 established groups across all congregations, who meeting regularly to grow in faith together. We are excited to see the growth of new small groups that are continuing to sprout up in the church.

We’ve also taken a step into deeper healing and freedom this year through Project Exodus. Over 60 people were trained across churches in addiction recovery.

We then started our own CCK Recovery Group, with a trial group of 11 people, which is expected to grow in the year to come as we open it up to the whole congregation.

Training Leaders

Internship

This year we also launched our partnership with J-Life’s Live 2:6 Internship programme, who are equipping interns from different churches with both theory and hands-on ministry experience. It’s been an amazing step in training leaders for the future.

Planting Churches

In church planting, four of our members travelled to Namibia to visit KK at HTC Windhoek, strengthening our bonds and supporting the work God is continuing to do there.

To Renew Society

We continue to see God at work renewing our society. This year, we have seen the start of a new Monday homework club with children from Jim se Bos. Seung Yung and Joy from Children’s Library have been bringing 15–20 kids weekly to CCK to assist with their school work.

It has been a year full of God’s goodness – where lives have been changed, leaders trained, communities impacted, and His Kingdom extended.

As we look back with gratitude, we also look forward with faith, trusting God for what lies ahead.
