We partner with some wonderful organisations who work to meet some of the greatest needs of Cape Town and beyond.

The Children’s Library

Joy and Seung Young Jung are missionaries from South Korea who have been members of CCK for years.

They set up a Children’s Library in Jim se Bos informal settlement in Philippi and provide a Christian based pre-school educational programme to 3-7 year olds. They also aid with school support for primary school learners

WOTS

Word on the Street (or WOTS) is an outreach initiative to help women involved in prostitution in Wynberg and Kenilworth, Cape Town.

The love of Christ compels us to pray, speak God’s truth, offer belonging and family, empowering women trapped in sex work with commitment through struggle, while partnering with others in Christ.

Bettaway Community Church

Clive and Glenda McMinn felt called to start Bettaway Community Church in Delft, a poverty stricken suburb of Cape Town.

With a beautiful and functional church building, they serve a growing congregation with a wide range of ministries, including services, poverty relief, family ministries and a homework club.

SIM

Emma Brewster and serves with SIM, an international mission organisation with 4000 workers in more than 70 countries.

She is part of the global leadership team and helps regions think through the different ways they can reach out to communities where Christ is least known.

U-Turn

U-Turn is a group of people with skills to overcome homelessness in Cape Town.

The Church House is managed by U-Turn on the CCK campus and provides accommodation for individuals on U-Turn’s work-based skills programme.

Mercy Ships

Brenda van Straten (not pictured) serves with Mercy Ships, providing hope and healthcare through on board hospitals to the poorest nations on earth.

Brenda is the National Director for SA and her role includes fund-raising, volunteer recruitment and managing the ships activities when in SA.

Church’s Ministry among the Jewish People

CMJ works globally in helping the church understand their Jewish roots, in combating antisemitism and in facilitating respectful conversations between Jews and Christians.

We have a strong teaching ministry and we’re at the forefront of advocacy against antisemitism.

Global Evangelism Ministries

GEM was established in 1980 in Lesotho.

The focus of their ministry to the rural areas of Lesotho is evangelism and a discipleship and theological educational programme called the Lesotho Theological Education by Extension (LTEE).

Holy Trinity Church Windhoek

Kwatouta Katenda serves with Holy Trinity Church Windhoek, a church plant in Windhoek with a mission to reach out to young adults in Windhoek from different backgrounds.

Kwatouta is a pastor, which includes overseeing the church plant, and organization, raising funds, leading a discipleship group, preaching, and doing pastoral visitation. 

Scripture Union

Everything Scripture Union does is centered around their mission – to see every young person transformed by Jesus and filled with hope.

SU’s ministries, with a focus on 10- to 19-year olds, are widespread - training, camping, holiday clubs, work in schools, Bible engagement, and life skill programmes.

The Message Trust

CCK members, Gilead and Naomi Engelbrecht, serve with The Message Trust in Cape Town.

Message Trust is a worldwide movement passionately sharing the love of Jesus Christ in words and actions with the hardest-to-reach young people and communities.

Through community projects, creative mission work, prisons, enterprise, and equipping people to share the good news of Jesus, The Message Trust are seeing lives transformed by God’s love.
